One evening I was driving home from volunteering when I realized I had a flat tire. I pulled over in a neighborhood and a sweet couple (Sean and Pan) came out to help. After removing the flat and putting the spare on it looked great, but Sean wasn't sure it was on correctly so they called their friend Jordan to come help. He arrived, handsome as can be, and tightened the wheel ensuring the tire was safe. The four of us chatted briefly and I learned more about Jordan. On my way home, I called my dad to tell him about the "cutest guy" who helped fix my tire. A month later I was at a wine tasting event with some friends when a girl tapped on my shoulder and asked if I was the flat tire girl? As fate would have it, Jordan and I were both at the event and spent the remainder of the night chatting away. Thus began our love story!
It was the most perfect moment. Having birthdays two weeks apart I had planned a joint birthday party the weekend in between. The day before the party, I headed into town to tutor and get some last minute groceries. As I drove down our street I noticed candles all throughout the yard and walkway. I got out of the car and there were even more candles, flowers, and Jordan in a suit standing there looking at me with the sweetest smile on his face. Jordan began his sentimental speech (which I remembered none of due to my excitement) before realizing I wasn't hearing a word he said. Instead of continuing he got our puppy out of the house who was wearing a collar that said "Will you marry my dad?" and Jordan got on one knee. Right as Jordan asked, Finn got scared of the fire and peed all over me. But it was perfect. I of course said yes and our fabulous friend Katherine captured it all on camera and we celebrated with family facetimes, champagne and with our closest and dearest friends the next day at our party. Bonus - Jordan wrote out his whole speech he had prepared so once I had calmed down I was able to see all the sweet things that I wasn't able to process in the moment.
