Cenotes are natural pools of water surrounded by limestone where you can swim, dive, or just gaze in awe. There are several different kinds in close proximity to the hotel, worth checking out, we would say! Cenotes were used for water supplies by the ancient Mayans, and occasionally for sacrificial offerings.
The remains of this temple, located just outside Tulum, overlook an amazing beach. The largest building, the Castillo, is perched on the edge of a 12-meter limestone cliff. A wooden staircase off the back of the site leads down to the beach where you can jump in the water and cool off.
