Savanna moved from Georgia to Tennessee the second semester of our freshmen year. She started attending White House High School that semester. While we did not technically meet that first day, we had first and fourth block together. I, Jordan, can testify that I remember the very moment I saw Savanna. However, she was so nervous and overwhelmed with moving to a new school that she does not remember seeing me. It was not until a year later when Savanna moved to my lunch table that we officially met. This is when our journey together truly began.

Savanna: I woke up July 7th, a Sunday morning, with so much joy and excitement. I was excited because I knew Jordan and I were going on a date day after church. What I did not know was that the excitement I felt was also because Jordan was going to pop the question that day. After church Jordan and I started our date day with lunch. Then, since it began to rain, we ended up at Barnes and Nobles playing Monopoly Deal for over an hour until we decided to go watch the new Spider Man movie. After the movie, we picked up dinner to-go from our favorite Italian restaurant. Jordan then blindfolded me before we drove to the location where we were supposed to be having dinner. When we arrived, Jordan took off the blindfold and we walked down to a beautiful platform that sat on the edge of a pond. The rain cleared out just as we arrived and the sun began to set on the other side of the pond. Once I finished eating, Jordan started playing the song "Runnin' Home to You" by Grant Gustin and we slow danced. As Jordan began to shake, tell me how much he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me, I knew what was to come. In the middle of the song, Jordan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said "yes!" and began to cry. Then our families came out from hiding and we celebrated together.
