Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will be at Bears Ranch, located between Durango and Purgatory Resort. The address for the venue is 51 Haviland Lake Rd, Durango, CO 81301

Where should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport is the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO). Guest may also fly into the Denver International Airport (DEN) or into Colorado Springs (COS) and drive. It is about a 6 hour drive from Denver to Durango.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We're planning to provide shuttles from Durango to the venue both before and after the wedding, more details coming soon.

Where should we stay?

Answer

Durango has a variety of hotel options ranging from budget motels, renovated glampy motels and upscale historic lodging.

Do I need to book early?

Answer

Summer is peak season in the mountains so we definitely recommend booking your accommodation as soon as you are able.

Is this a multi-day celebration?

Answer

Yes! We’re planning a full wedding weekend with events starting Friday and wrapping up Sunday. Attendance at any of the supplemental events is optional, come for what works for you. Full details for the weekend can be found on the schedule tab.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In July, Durango, CO, sees warm days with average highs around 82-89°F, but nights cool down significantly, with average lows around 51°F. Bears Ranch is located at a higher elevation than town which sits at 6500 feet. Mountain weather can change quickly but expect warm days, cooler evenings, and lots of sun.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding vibe is Elevated Garden Party: polished, colorful, and romantic. Women can think midi or full-length dresses in bright or soft colors, floral prints, or whimsical textures. The wedding will take place on grass or uneven ground. Block heels, wedges, or flats are strongly recommended. Please avoid: white, ivory, or bridal-adjacent shades. Very dark clubwear styles. Casual sundresses or overly casual fabrics Men can think tailored but relaxed summer suiting, jackets are not necessary. Please avoid casual polos, jeans or shorts.
