We met at SeaWorld Camp in San Antonio the summer before my freshman year and Jordan's sophomore year of high school. Our first interaction was at the sign-in table the first day of camp, where Jordan thought it would be funny to scare me with a joke about an exam at the end of the week. We hung out as much as possible throughout the week, but knew that nothing more would be able to happen since at the time, Jordan lived in San Antonio and I lived in Dallas. As we grew closer, we realized that we liked each other so much that we would make the distance throughout high school work. We quickly fell in love and now we are excited to finally be planning a wedding 6 years later!
We had a day trip planned to SeaWorld to celebrate the Fourth of July and I woke up wondering if that would be the day that Jordan was going to propose. About halfway through the day, I convinced myself otherwise because it hadn't happened yet and I was for sure that if he was going to propose, he would have done it by then. Just as I was feeling a bit disappointed from getting my hopes up, Jordan ended up surprising me with a proposal and a beautiful ring during the late night fireworks show.
