Our first date was on May 8, 2010 at our senior prom for Broad Ripple Magnet High School. We went as friends since neither of us had been successful in securing a reliable date. We coordinated the dress and tux and arrived together, but never actually saw each other during the prom until the last song played. After that we were pretty much inseparable. WHEW we've spent an entire decade together! We plan to celebrate our union with you all officially on November 20, 2020.

After attending a Pacers game, Phil handed Jordan a children’s book titled ‘The Reasons Why’. The characters were illustrated to look like Phil and Jordan in stick figure form. After reading the book Jordan said “thank you” and was ready to move on. Phil quickly realized she had mistakenly skipped the last page and redirected her to it. It read, “Jordan, will you marry me?”, with stick figure Phil on one knee holding a ring. She looked over to see the real Phil holding a REAL RING! It may have taken 2-3 business days (details only given upon request lol), but she eventually said … YES!
