We're getting married! We would love it if you joined us to celebrate

Nimra and I met in Houston, TX at the hospital where we were both working. Nimra recently finished nursing school and I had just started there for residency for my medical training. Nimra was born in Murree, Pakistan. She lived in Pakistan for 13 years then moved to Chang Mai, Thailand. She did high school here before moving to Houston, TX. She then went to college and became a nurse. I was born in Durango, Colorado and grew up in Farmington, NM. Farmington is 7,555 miles away from Murree so it was a blessing from God that our paths crossed. It was also almost random chance that I ended up in Houston through my residency application. I'm so glad that we both ended up in the same place at the same time.

On our first date we met at a local bar / restaurant in Houston. The date went really well (from my perspective) and I thought Nimra was great. I was so excited to see Nimra again that I asked to go on a second date the next day before I left town for the holidays. She said she couldn't because she had a flat tire and couldn't meet me. I thought this was just an excuse initially and was bummed out. Turns out she was telling the truth. On the way home from our first date she got a flat tire and had to wait at a tire shop all day the next day.
