Just your typical modern-day love story.... swiping right to reveal your future spouse. Michael and I "met" on the app known as Tinder. After one hour of talking to each other on the app, Michael asked for my number and the rest is pretty much history. We had our official first date at none other than the good old Texas Road House and that was it. A month after dating Michael, I knew he was going to one day be my husband. I used to remember when people would tell me the saying "when you know you know" and I would honestly think they were lying, secretly waiting for that moment to happen to me, and wow were they right. When you know you just know. Here we are a year and a half later and I am engaged to my best friend, my person, my dance partner, my travel buddy, and one of my all-time favorite people in this world. Not only am I going to marry my person, but I am also getting an amazing second family. Michael's family is just as amazing as he is. After my first vacation to Hilton Head with his mom's side of the family and many games of Scattegories later I knew I had a whole other group of people to call family. Michael is such a special person. He is the most caring, genuine, down to earth, funny and kind person I have ever met. I am so excited to finally marry the man of my dreams. We are so thankful and excited for all of you to help us celebrate this new chapter.
I got really really lucky when I met a girl named Jordan. Jordan and I met online, which is still hard for me to believe because of how perfect Jordan and I are for each other. As soon as we met it was just easy, we just clicked so well and continue to grow together every day. I knew I wanted to marry Jordan after I brought her to my family vacation, that we have gone on since I was born, to Hilton Head Island, SC. That two weeks Jordan met about 45 people and fit right in with everyone. She immediately became apart of my family. I am so excited to gain an amazing second family as well. Jordan's family has always felt like family to me and have made Maryland my second home. Jordan is the most beautiful girl inside and out with the best personality of anyone I have ever met and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. We are so excited for our big day and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
One of the best days of our lives was the day we got engaged. Michael was away at school at USCG, Yorktown Virginia from April-July so we had been doing long distance when he moved from Pasadena to Yorktown for school. We would get to see each other majority of the weekends so I thought Michael was coming home for just another fun weekend together. He had asked me earlier in the week if I wanted to go Downtown Annapolis on that upcoming Saturday to walk around and just hang out at some of our favorite bars. Downtown Annapolis is probably my favorite place in the world so of course, I was excited. Also, our second date was Downtown Annapolis. A little back story, Tiffany, my best friend had been talking to Michael for a couple of weeks about this "plan". When Michael asked me to go downtown I immediately thought of seeing if Tiffany and Paul wanted to come with (little did I know that was the plan from the beginning). So Saturday comes around and we head to DTA. We started this day the same way we started our second date downtown, at Fed house. Paul and Tiffany had later met us there when Tiffany then says "I forgot to pay my parking". We made our way down to the parking lot that was right by the water, Tiff and Paul pay for the parking and then she says "Jordan can you take a picture of Paul and Me by the water, which if anyone knows Tiffany... this was completely normal. After the photoshoot of Paul and Tiff, she says "ok it's your turn". Michael HATES taking pictures with me but during that moment he goes "ok yeah let's get some pictures" ;) As we are taking some regular pictures, Tiffany then says to change poses then he did. At that moment I became the happiest girl alive because when I turned around to change my pose, I saw my best friend on one knee. The rest of the day we spent celebrating at the rest of the stops on our second date and had the most magical day together. Michael and I are so excited to celebrate the next best day of our lives with all of you!
