FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a date and/or plus one?

Answer

Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The church doors will open at 1:30PM CST. Please arrive with enough time to find a seat before the Mass begins.

Question

What should I wear to the Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

We would love for your attire to match the anticipation & excitement of this long-awaited celebration! Consider semi-formal attire as an inspiration. If you have a stellar outfit sitting in your closet that you've been waiting to wear, this is the moment. Dresses to long gowns are all appropriate choices for women. The ceremony and reception will be indoors, so wear heels as high as your heart desires (and your ankles can withstand). Please avoid wearing white. For men, suits or dress pants with a corresponding shirt are excellent choices. You are not expected to change outfits between the ceremony and reception. Feel free to wear the same clothing!

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

The ceremony will be a full Catholic mass. This means that it will last roughly one hour in order to fully celebrate the sacrament of marriage. If you don't feel comfortable participating in the intricacies of the mass or you're not in full communion with the Catholic Church, we invite you to come and witness our marriage without any pressure to kneel or come up for a Eucharistic blessing. If you do choose to come up and get a blessing, you can cross your arms across your chest to indicate you are ready for the blessing but not partaking in Holy Communion.

Question

Is Attending The Ceremony Required? Is There A Dress Code For The Church?

Answer

While we would LOVE for everyone to attend the ceremony, we understand that may not be possible or feasible for everyone. If you can't make it to the church - we will see you at the reception! We do ask that guests who attend the ceremony to dress appropriately for the Church (semi-formal is fine!).

Question

WHAT SHOULD I DO BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND THE RECEPTION?

Answer

Guests who attend the ceremony are free to do whatever they want after church - feel free to check out the local sights, grab a snack, or go back to the hotel and hang out. Check out the "Things to Do" tab of this website for recommendations.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve asked a professional photographer to capture this special moment so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy it with us. Our beautiful images will be available after the wedding. Please do not take any pictures during the ceremony.

Question

I am coming from out of town - Where should I stay?

Answer

We have established a block of rooms at the Omaha Marriott & Hilton in Downtown Omaha. You are also free to stay at any other hotels you find convenient.
