God has a way of bringing people together in unexpected ways, even in a digital age. We met on Hinge, an online dating platform, where we first connected by our similar love of Jesus. After a 3 hour first phone call earlier that week, our first date took place on March 20th, 2024 at Basta Pizzeria Ristorante. It was there where we found an instant connection. Our relationship would continue to bloom through our love of sharing meals together and trying new restaurants, listening to a variety of music, playing pickleball, and growing in our faith together. Through starting an album listening club (with just two members), discovering concerts and the Iowa City Jazz festival, enjoying long conversations about hypotheticals, and playing silly games (Jordan originals) during the car rides to South Dakota, we decided from now on we would like to always know a life with each other in it. On March 8th, 2025 at Terry Trueblood park, we decided to spend the rest of our lives together. And here we are! We’ve decided to have our wedding in the Iowa City area to commemorate where we found each other. In the future, we plan on growing in the southeast Iowa area. We are excited to build a life together, supported by our near family and the people we love a little farther away.
