We met on the very first day of nursing school. We happened to be in the same clinical group and got to know each other through different projects/assignments. There was one day when I was having trouble stapling a huge stack of papers in the nursing lab. Jordan pulled out this mini-stapler from his backpack and said, “Can I help you Miss?” From that point on, I knew he was the one! We went on to graduate the nursing program together, pass our board exams together, build a house together, and now we are going to spend the rest of our lives together!

A bunch of our friends and family went on vacation to beautiful Sunriver, Oregon. A few days into the trip, Jordy, Lacey, Chris, and I (and of course Cooper) went on a hike to Tumalo Falls. We hiked up a short, steep hill to reach the top of the falls. We all admired the view as we looked down on the falls and the surrounding mountains. It was gorgeous! After awhile, we decided to head back down and it started pouring rain! Like pelting-your-face-at-an-angle type rain! Chris started laughing and little did I know at the time what was about to happen. We reached the bottom clearing where there was a picture perfect spot of the entire falls. By the time we took pictures of Lacey, Chris, and Cooper, the rain stopped and the sun came out. It was time for Jordy and I to take our picture in front of the falls and he had the idea to take one from behind first. Then he turned to me and started nervously telling me sweet things. I was confused at this point and was like "okay, let's take our picture!" It wasn't until he got down on one knee that I knew was what was happening! I had absolutely no idea! Of course.... I said YES!
