We met back in 2018 during our sophomore year of high school. Jordan had just moved to Pennsylvania from North Carolina and we ended up in the same English and gym class. While this was the case, we didn't speak to each other ONCE until we were sat next to each other in English class. I can distinctly remember Jordan looking over at my papers during class ;) We started talking almost every day which led to him asking me out on our first date. We went mini golfing, for ice cream, and the rest was history! After graduating high school together, Madison went to Elizabethtown College and Jordan went right into the workforce. Soon after, we moved into our first apartment together in Marietta, PA. This was such an amazing experience filled with endless laughter, love, and memories. We hosted lots of parties, made new friendships, and are forever grateful for 340 Sable Dr. Once Jordan decided he wanted to go into the military, our lives shifted. He joined the army in 2023 where he went down to South Carolina for his basic training, Virginia for AIT, and got stationed in El Paso, Texas where he works on attack helicopters. While he was living out his dream, Madison continued to live out hers by finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education. Due to certain circumstances, Madison stayed back in PA to finish graduate school and take care of her family. Let the long distance continue! While some may think long distance was an awful decision, it brought out a piece of gratitude and determination like we have never experienced before. Don't get us wrong, long distance is no picnic and has truly been one of the hardest things we have had to endure; however, it showed us how much we really did need each other, and how much we didn't... We both overcame obstacles we never thought imaginable, and whether we were beside each other physically or via screen, we were always there for each other. Long distance taught us what it meant to live in the moment and to be grateful for each second of each day spent together. After seeing each other every day since we were 16, it was a hard adjustment to go months on end without seeing each other. We learned independence quickly, we became professionals at communication, had extreme commitment, and gained trust like no other. Long distance is a true battle not meant for the weak, but it created such a deep emotional connection that will only continue to grow Through the last 7 years, we have traveled to Disney world twice, Mexico, lots of beaches, numerous US states, and so much more. We have a total of 5 fur babies (one pup and four kitties). Our next dream destination is Rome, but we want to travel to as many places as possible! If you are reading this, YOU have been a part of this journey as well. We are so excited to continue to grow, love, and care for one of another and we are thankful you are on this ride with us Here's To Forever <3
