Chincoteague Island is a great place to visit. It is a little further from our venue but if you have some time to visit, I would highly recommend a trip over there. They have a bunch of good local seafood restaurants, some small shops, a nice coffee shop and a brewery. You can also access Assateague Beach and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge from the island. Some of our favorite places to eat are The Village, Bill’s Prime Seafood and Steaks and Woody’s. We always like to top off a visit to the island with some homemade ice cream from Island Creamery.
If you are looking for steamed crabs, this would be your place to go.
