Matron of Honor
Kim and Marisa met as freshman at Virginia Tech and quickly became friends. That spring break they both traveled to Mississippi to help with Hurricane Katrina clean up. They were "buddies" on the trip which meant they had to stay together pretty much the whole time (for safety reasons), they learned they both equally love being ridiculous. They still refer to each other as "buddy" 16 years later. When Kim moved up to the DC area around 8 years ago, Marisa was already living in the area and was conveniently looking for a new living situation! They were roommates in Bethesda for about 5 years. They've also traveled to 7 countries together! Kim really admires Marisa's love for life, her ability to make anything fun, her generosity, and her great taste in chips (shout out to Hint of Lime!).

Beth and Kim are sisters! They have been in each other's lives forever :) When they were kids, Beth would often read Kim her favorite "Me Too" books. She also gave Kim a wonderful haircut when they played barber the day before picture day. Mom had to find a cute lacy hat very quickly to salvage picture day! When Kim was a poor college student, Beth stepped in to help in ways that she could, whether it was taking her to lunch or helping her find the cheap textbooks. Kim really appreciates that Beth is always looking out for her. Kim really admires Beth's determination, her love of family, her attention to detail, and her generous spirit.

John and Jordan have known each other since middle school and have remained friends since. A uniter by nature, John’s house growing up was the staging ground for almost every group hangout in high school, college and beyond. (Special Note: God Bless his parents for putting up with everyone in their house day after day.) John’s sense of humor and the ways that people attract to him are among his most admirable traits. Among his hobbies, John enjoys breweries, the Cleveland Browns, and spending time with his girlfriend Becky and dog Bailey.

Taylor is Kim's oldest friend, they met when Kim was in 2nd grade and have been close friends ever since! They were known for being outspoken and full of energy at kid's church. They now love to travel together and have been to China, Costa Rica and Ireland together! Kim really admires Taylor's willingness to do anything for those she loves, her loyalty, her love for travel and adventure, and her excellent unicorn mask that has made many appearances in her travels.

Among his hobbies and interests, Byron enjoys poker, Embry Mill neighborhood Dad clubs, and spending time with his wife, three kids and two dogs.

Summer was Kim's first friend when she moved to Greensboro, NC right after college. She helped Kim meet most of her network in Greensboro...Summer is very well connected! They eventually became roommates and both being morning people, they loved chatting in the mornings and watching the Today show together as they got ready for work. They have traveled together too, generally to sunny places where they could relax on a beach or have fun in the water (snorkeling, kayaking, etc.). Kim really admires Summer's ability to talk to and make friends with anyone, her amazing coordination and organization skills, her diligence in building a successful business, and her great ability to put a Christmas tree on it's stand (ask her about it).

Brooke and Kim met when they worked together at FSA (Kim's current firm). They shared an office and quickly found friendship and trust in each other. They shared so many stories, laughter and tears in that office. Brooke has such a great way of creating a space for open conversations without fear of judgment. Brooke is also an amazing dog mom and inspired Kim in her quest to be the best dog mom to Cooper! Kim really admires Brooke's ability to be self-reflective and always wanting to grow and be better, her drive in opening and growing her own business, and her excellent advice in all areas, especially her dating advice (really came in handy in snagging Jordan)!
