When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you’ll be joining us by January 9th, 2026. If we don’t hear from you by then, we’ll assume you’re unable to make it (and we’ll be very sad about it!).

Can I make song requests?

Answer

A dedicated playlist is being created full of our favorite songs hence we are not taking song requests.

What Should I Wear?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to show up in their brightest, boldest, most colourful outfits! A few colours have been reserved especially for the bridal party, so please check your invitation for the details before planning your look

Are you accepting wedding gifts?

Answer

Your presence on our special day is all we hope for, however should you wish to honour us with a gift, any contribution towards our honeymoon is greatly appreciated.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As much as we’d love to celebrate with everyone, we’re keeping things intimate. Unless it’s specifically mentioned on your invitation, we’re unable to accommodate extra guests.

Are you having a UK reception too?

Answer

We will not be having a UK reception. We appreciate that a destination wedding is not for everyone but Desert Rose has a special place in our hearts. We would love to see all our loved ones on our special day, but we understand this may not be possible.

Where shall I stay?

Answer

Aside from the very best, Desert Rose Resort!? We have a list of other hotel options that neighbour Desert Rose on our travel page.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom kindly request an unplugged ceremony. Please turn off all devices and enjoy being fully present in this moment with us. We have a photographer and videographer present to capture our special moment.

What is the itinerary for the day?

Answer

The bride and groom will advise on the day's itinerary upon their arrive to the venue in November 2026. This will most likely be passed on via WhatsApp- so keep an eye on your messages the week of the big day.

Will the wedding be indoors or on the beach?

Answer

The wedding (ceremony and reception) will be taking place at the Del Mar Restaurant, marked on the map on your invites. This is an indoor, air conditioned venue to keep all guests comfortable, however, this is right on the beach front to allow for the perfect photos.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

We have informed the venue of any restrictions/allergies that we are currently aware of (Kieran I'm talking about you!) If our chosen menu does not cater to these, we will ensure that the appropriate changes are made to accommodate you. If you can inform Kerry via WhatsApp of any restrictions before the RSVP deadline (9th Jan 2026) that would be greatly appreciated.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Details of the ceremony start time will be confirmed the week of the wedding, we ask that guests arrive at the venue 20-30 minutes prior to the start time.
