How we met

June 14th, 2013

We met at a music festival in Chicago through mutual friends in 2013 when we were 17 and 16. Every night walking to the train we would spend it with eachother just talking and joking around. Once the festival was over we continued to hangout in a group with our friends and we all grew closer. I think we both knew we really liked eachother and we started spending more time together one on one. Kacie’s favorite thing to do was to watch horror movies, which couldn’t be said for Jordan. Still he knew that was the best way to her heart, so he pretended to like them. They spent countless nights together, Kacie intently watching the films, and Jordan staring about a foot above the TV screen. It didn’t matter for Jordan, even if he was spending a couple hours staring at a wall above a TV, it was the time he was spending with her that truly made it worth it. On July 27th, 2013 we made it official.

The Proposal

September 22, 2018

We had been planning for a couple of weeks to go to a winery in Wisconsin called Villa Bellezza. It was the first day of fall and the weather was beautiful. It was sunny and warm, summer was just giving into fall. The vineyard was about an hour away and Jordan was stressing in the passenger seat the entire time. It was a long enough drive so he had time to get sufficiently nervous. We arrived and each had some wine and lunch. I spilled olive oil all over my shirt and Jordan was nervous it would put me into a bad mood. But it was such a nice day and the wine had already put me into a carefree mindset. We decided that we wanted to walk in the vineyard and look at the grapes. I asked Jordan if we could take a picture together and he set up his camera. Little did I know we weren’t taking a picture and he was actually recording. So we posed for the picture and I asked how long the timer was set for and if the picture work. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I think I smiled the whole way home.
