Jordan’s POV: I remember seeing a very beautiful girl (Julia) across the room at Suite Shots during a Catholic Young Adult event. I immediately knew she was wayyy out of my league. However, we started playing a game of eye tag. This probably continued for about 10 minutes. Then the next thing I know we're in a conversation that ended up lasting a majority of the night, and it was great! I thought, “Man, she seems like she could be a good friend” (reminder: she was wayyy out of league) anyways, before I left I decided to ask her if I could give her MY number. I didn’t even have the guts to ask for her number. However, to my surprise, later that night, she texted me first! After getting to know each other more as friends I soon realized that Julia was becoming a source of joy that was irreplaceable in my life. So I knew I didn’t want to lose this once in a lifetime opportunity that God blessed me with so I asked her to date me. She said yes (but only after the second try). Julia's POV: I was so excited to go to the Catholic Young Adult event at Suite Shots on October 24th, 2024. I was going to meet my friend Jenna (ily) there after work, but she ended up not feeling well and had to cancel. I was still determined to go, which is not like me to go without a friend. My hope for the night was to make some more friendships, not meet someone (... which usually was the intention... can you blame me...) Well, going to events like these solo is not for me! But what started as a slightly awkward evening turned sweet when the really cute guy (Jordan) I was in a game of eye tag with slid his way into a conversation I was having. We talked and laughed, and he got my number. Kaja and I met up at Blarney Stone after to discuss our separate but equally unique nights. I remember saying to her, “Well, at least I made a friend out of it.” Little did I know, I had just met the man I was going to marry. Jordan is easy to love, loves so well and teaches me about God, who is Love!
