This book store is a Portland staple and assumes a whole city block! There is a coffee shop and many floors of used and new books for you to explore. It is in the heart of the Pearl district, making it close to the Departure, countless shopping options, Pioneer Place, and Portland City Blocks.
The St. Johns bridge is one of Portland's 12 bridges, and amongst the most iconic. It takes you two a super cute neighborhood with many local places to eat, shop, and explore. St. John's is a super old area and has a lot of history and character to offer.

We recommend the Hawthorne Asylum food carts (Jori LOVES the Burmese cart), Grassa, Fried Egg I'm in Love, Apizza Scholls, Toji Korean BBQ, Champagne Poetry, and Bamboo Pho. Places fun to shop include CrossRoads, Powells Book Store, Red Light, and Buffalo Exchange.
Portland is known for it's coffee and Nossa is amongst the best!
This is our favorite Chinese place in town! Plan to share a plate because the portions are huge! They have decent sushi as well.
This was the first Portland restaurant that we fell in love with and it is still the best chicken wings in town! They have amazing vegan wings made with jackfruit and a sugar cane "bone" cannot recommend enough!

This is an AMAZING Asian market that has a super cute gift shop and an amazing selection of nearly anything you can think of- including live seafood. While you are there, check our the ramen place next door! It is the best ramen in the area.

This is an amazing State Park located in the Tillamook State Forest. It has countless biking trails, and an incredible disc golf course that is equivalent to a mild hike. Bring extra water, a snack or two, and a camera with full batteries.
Oregon's only accredited zoo! They have a state of the art Asian Elephant exhibit, a one of a kind California Condor breeding program that has singlehandedly saved the species, a growing primate program, and home to the famous Nora the polar bear.
The Pittock Mansion has a rich history, but even more than that the view from this house are INCREDIBLE. Worth paying the ground a quick visit even if you don't tour the home.
This is a state of the art Japanese Garden. When it first opened, a congregation of Japanese garden professionals came and stated that it was the best they had seen outside of their home country. An incredible place to visit this time of the year.
In the same vein as the Japanese Garden, the Lan Su Chinese Garden is a wonderful place to visit and is in a very old section of town.
Oregon is renowned for its rhododendrons and this garden is dedicated to that spectacular nature.
Make your way up the beautiful Mt Hood drive and do a 1/2 mile Alpine slide for a fun end to your destination!
Go berry picking at Sauvie's Island just north of Portland!
Jordan's favorite local sausage place! They will grill their sausages on the BBQ outside for a quick lunch!
