Although we had classes together at UCF we didn’t actually meet until we both worked at Mitsubishi. Jon worked on the manufacturing team and I worked on the repair team. We crossed paths at the weekly intern meetings and Jon claims he knew then and there he wanted to date me. We started dating in August of 2014 but made it official in October. We graduated together in May of 2015 and Jon headed up to Atlanta to work for IBM. I followed him shortly after and we started the sometimes scary but also exciting and growth-filled life of adulthood post grad in a new state. After a couple years, we were ready to head back to Florida to be closer to family and take on our next challenge...homeownership! On April 6, 2018 while on a trip to Puerto Rico, Jon walked me out to a beautiful private beach while his brother Anthony “went to get the cooler” and asked me to marry him. He played it pretty cool except for the part where I kept trying to turn off the GoPro and he kept turning it back on to record...oops!
