It was Memorial Day, 2019. After many failed attempts to get a group of friends together to hang out, Jessica and Jordan finally decided to ditch the party-poopers and spend the day with each other. Before meeting up with Jessica, Jordan went to Legacy Hall in Plano, Texas (where they planned to eat) to find scooters to ride after dinner. He parked the scooters on the top floor of the parking garage, where no one would find them. First, they met up at Sam Moon in Frisco, Texas. Jordan arrived first, as usual. After Jessica spent an hour looking for a suit case (the same hour in which Jordan spent looking at Jessica), then they finally made their way to Legacy Hall. Jordan went with chicken and waffles, while Jessica had pizza. After this, they decided to have some Gelato (italian ice cream) while taking a stroll down Legacy West shopping strip. Finally, it was scooter time! They rode electric scooters from one side of Plano, to the other. While on this adventure, they encountered a very exhausted Pomeranian and a man whom was VERY enthusiastically exercising. After finishing their scooter rides, they took a trip to Southern Methodist University (where Jordan planned on going to law school) and walked the campus, followed by a long and "deep" car conversation. Though neither mentioned it, both Jessica and Jordan knew that this was love at first scooter ride.
This was it, it was finally happening, our first ACTUAL date!! It was only two nights before at around 2:00am that Jordan asked her. Jordan had just returned from a church service in Gainesviille, while Jessica had just returned from a youth rally in Mesquite, Texas. Jordan, with swans flapping their wings in his stomach, made his way to Jessica's car, where she sat unaware of what was about to happen. Tevan, Jordan's best friend, gave him a knowing look and told him to "go get her." He asked. She said yes. He had it all planned out. A reservation at Wolfgang Puck's "Five-Sixty" restaurant, at the top of Reunion Tower (which he had made 2 weeks before). After giving his car a bath, picking up 2-dozen pink and red roses, and putting on a suit, he headed to pick her up. She came out looking STUNNING. They spent the car ride singing a mixture of worship and old love songs. Jordan, very smoothly, used her hand as a "microphone" the entire time. It was the performance of his life. Once they arrived, Jessica took Jordan's arm, got in the elevator, and began their ascent to the rotating restaurant 560 feet above ground. The view was fantastic, the food was phenomenal, and the conversation was constant. Jessica ordered roasted chicken, while Jordan ordered Peeking Duck. After this, they spent time in downtown Dallas, where they ultimately failed at "dancing the night away." To top it all off, Jordan was pulled over on their way home for going 15 over and tags out of date. He talked his way out of a ticket. It was obviously God's will for that date to happen.
