We officially did not meet until October 19th, 2022. Unless you count Facetiming everyday until 12 am for two months prior to that, of course. Talking about everything and anything.. Jesus, childhoods, values, and dreams, we got to know each other although we were about 300 miles apart - Jayden living in LA and Jordan living in the Bay Area. Even though we had not met IRL yet, we instantly knew this was an incredibly special bond growing to be the best of friends. For that entirety of the two months, we were always dreaming about the day we would finally meet. Even though Jordan already was planning to go to Disneyland where we were planning to meet for the very first time, life had other plans. Jordan's grandmother became very ill that October, and Jayden decided to fly on the one day he had off of work to visit when she took a turn for the worst. That Wednesday on the 19th, we met for the first time at our favorite coffee shop while Jordan was working there. Although we had never met, it had felt like we had been best friends for years. This day was full of some of our favorite memories together like first kisses, full sending a relationship on the first date, and an emotional first of many drop offs at the airport. God blessed us that day by healing Jordan's grandma that morning to where she was able to speak such joy and excitement for this new chapter in our lives. Ever since October 19th, we have been flying to and from Oakland & LA every chance we get. From one day trips to cancelled and delayed flights to roadtrips and simply cherishing each moment we had together. Thanks Southwest!! Now we get to end this long distance for good. We are so thankful for this journey, and we are so excited to begin a whole new one as a married couple. Thank you so much for having a unique and important part of each of our lives. Let's party hard!
