It was a hot summer day, the team had been out on the field practicing all day. I took a second to walk away and rewrap my ankle after having hurt it earlier in the day when I saw her. She sat on the bleachers reading a book I noticed her as she noticed me. I knew from the second I seen her I had to talk to her, I climbed up the metal steps and sat next to her I was nervous she would peek from behind her book a couple times before I gathered the strength to say something to her, and from that moment and on the conversation never died. She captivated me with every word she’d say. It’s like we knew, She knew I was hers and she was mines. Now nearly 9 years later and we’re asking for you (yes you reading this) to help us celebrate love!
I had just finished with volleyball practice. Went to wait for John to get out of football per usual. I laid out on the top bleacher with my reading glasses on and a book in hand. Occasionally I would put the book down and watch the practice. Next thing I knew Jordan was walking towards the bleachers…limping. He came up to the top bleacher to wrap his ankle. Right there and then, I started a conversation with him and we slowly became attached to the hip. For years to come.
