What are the addresses of the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our venue's address is The Country Venue, 208 Meadowbrook Road, Richmond, KY 40475. There will be signage directing you to the venue from the main road, and additional signs on-site to guide you to parking.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony will take place outdoors in the field next to the barn, while cocktail hour and the reception will be held indoors. Guests will walk to the ceremony site on pavers but will need to step briefly onto grass to reach their seats. Because of this, stiletto or thin heels are not recommended.

Can I Take My Own Pictures?

We kindly ask that our ceremony be unplugged—this means phones should be silenced or turned off and put away during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present with us in the moment. Once the reception begins, feel free to take all the pictures you’d like! We’ll also provide a link where you can upload any photos you take throughout the night. Jake and I can’t wait to be able to look through them the next day!

Can we bring our children?

Answer

Absolutely! Children are more than welcome. However, for safety reasons—there is a pond on the property and a wooded area just outside the barn—we kindly ask that they remain under adult supervision at all times.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

The number of guests invited will be listed when you RSVP on our wedding website. While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our venue has limited space and can accommodate only 120 guests. Thank you for understanding!

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Home2 Suites in Richmond. While we weren’t able to reserve a block at the Hampton Inn, we did secure a discount code that you can use when booking. We’ve also suggested a few other hotels at a variety of price points. All of this information, including how to book, can be found on the Travel tab of our wedding website.

What should I wear? We’d love for our guests to dress in semi-formal or dressy casual attire that fits our outdoor barn setting. Our ceremony will be held in a field, so we recommend choosing shoes suitable for walking on grass. Our bridal party will be wearing shades of sage, dusty blue, dusty rose, auburn, taupe, and grey.

For our reception dinner, we will have a BBQ buffet. We will also have chicken strips available for anyone who prefers a different option.
