If you’re traveling from California

We highly recommend driving to Carmel! The nearest airport is over one hour away, so you would likely need to rent a car regardless to drive to Carmel. Most importantly, however, the coastal drive is breathtaking!

If you are traveling from outside California

The nearest airport is San Jose International Airport, so plan to fly into this airport if possible. From San Jose, you will need to rent a car to drive down to Carmel.
