What is the dress code?
Answer
We kindly ask that our wedding attire be semi-formal and inspired by our color palette: soft sage green, better yellow, peach, light blue, lavender, light orange, and dusty rose. Please choose one of these colors to wear so our celebration is beautifully coordinated. If you’re attending as a couple, you do not need to match each other—just select any color from the palette. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed in these lovely tones as we celebrate together! 💛

Will there be bridesmaids, groomsmen, or a formal wedding party?
Answer
We’ve chosen to keep our wedding day very small and intimate, and because of that, every single person in attendance is truly part of our wedding. While there aren’t formally assigned roles, each of you holds a special place in our lives and in this celebration. In our hearts, you are all our wedding party. 🤍 We’ve also listed the names of everyone attending and how they’re connected to the bride and groom so that our out-of-town and local family members alike can become familiar with the names and faces who mean so much to us.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged, no-phones moment. Our chapel is small and intimate, and we’ve invested in professional photography to capture every special memory. We’re also on a limited time schedule with our photographer, so having phones put away will help everything run smoothly and allow them to do their job without distractions. We promise to share the beautiful photos afterward—thank you for being fully present with us as we say “I do.” 🤍

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
For the ceremony at American Mothers Chapel, parking will be available, but please note that the chapel is not directly adjacent to the lot. Guests will need to walk down a short trail or path to reach the chapel. For the cocktail hour and reception dinner at Mackenzie’s, there is a parking garage located just a street over, as it is in downtown Colorado Springs. Street parking may also be available nearby.

Immediately after the chapel ceremony?
Answer
Immediately following the ceremony at the chapel, we kindly ask that all friends and family please stay for a few immediate photos with our photographer. We would love to capture some special moments with everyone before we head to Garden of the Gods for our private couples portraits. Thank you for helping us make this time smooth and memorable! 🤍

What will the guests do after the ceremony and family photos?
Answer
After the ceremony at the chapel, the bride and groom will be heading into Garden of the Gods to take their couples portraits with the photographer. Guests are invited to make their way to cocktail hour and the reception dinner beginning at 6:00 PM at Mackenzie’s Chop House, where we have reserved a private club room. Appetizers and drinks will be provided for everyone to enjoy while we finish portraits. The bride and groom will arrive around 7:00 PM to join you for dinner and continue the celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate together! 🤍

Answer
We are keeping our ceremony extremely intimate and personal, with only our closest family members in attendance. Because of the size and setting, we’re only able to accommodate those who are specifically listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting this — it truly means the world to us as we plan such a special and meaningful day. 🤍
