Homer and Jordan matched on a dating app, Hinge, back in late 2022. It was certainly not love at first sight, but possibly love at first swipe? Jordan responded to one of Homer's prompts on the app about his poetry and he thought she was just another girl who "loved poetry." After multiple messages back and forth, they both soon realized they had a bit in common and DMs turned into text messages and text messages into phone calls. Unfortunately when Homer asked Jordan on a date originally, she was not in the Houston area anymore so they had to wait a couple weeks. In those couple weeks they spent hours talking and getting to know each other. Then, weeks later, Homer picked Jordan up for their date where they spent the next 8 hours together and they can both agree that it was an absolute wreck. Now, they can laugh about it but at the time, they didn't know if it was the start of something beautiful or the ending of nothing at all. Even after their long first date, Jordan agreed to go on a second and third date where they eventually started to fall in love. So, I guess what Hinge claims is to be true - "designed to be deleted."
