We prefer to use Trenitalia. When looking at train routes, make sure to use the Italian spelling.

Renting a car would be the most convenient and quickest way to travel, it is possible to get to the area by trains. The train stations to look at are Sagrado or Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado.

We recommend getting an International Driver's License, AAA offers these. For navigation, we have found that Google Maps does better than Apple Maps. There are two types of police in Italy that you may see, Polizia and Carabinieri. Both may "lollipop" you while driving, which is where they are on the side of the road and will stick a small red circle out to signal for you to pull over. These do not necessarily mean that you have done anything wrong, they are done randomly and likely just wanting to look at all your information. Please drive the speed limit, there are hidden boxes that will radar you, and the ticket can appear months after it happens. If you do not understand roundabouts, please do a quick google on how to drive through them. A lot of roads are small and feel like they may be one way, if you are able to see/read a sign, then you should be ok driving down that road. Please use common sense when driving and if you see red signs that look like you should not be driving that way, don't.

We have hotel rooms blocked for June 5-12, 2026. You are able to book in that block from November 15, 2025-February 15, 2026. We will have shuttle transportation day of for everyone. There are 20 rooms at Hotel Franz, 40 rooms at Al Ponte, and 30 rooms at Hotel Internazionale. If you have any problems or questions, please contact Simona from SFR Eventi at sfr.eventiematrimoni@gmail.com. The links provided will take you to the website to view the hotel, but to be included in the blocks, you will need to email them with the emails I have provided, and they will provide you a list of rooms available. When making your reservation, it is a possibility that they request a copy of your passport, and when you check in, they will request to see your passport when checking in, and may hold onto it during your stay. If you need it with your during your stay, they will return it to you. They will likely request your credit card information for the room reservation, but payment will not be completed until check-in. These are recommended hotels, but if you prefer another hotel or Airbnb, feel free to book at that. If you are choosing to stay somewhere else, you will be responsible for getting yourself to a hotel where shuttles will be picking up on the 10th.
