Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ginny Schoder and Jordan Watt

The Other Side Bar

2434 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614

This is our favorite watering hole. Walking distance between both our apartments. After we got engaged, we went to this bar and the bartender was able to find a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate. We also took some of our engagement photos here.

Side Street Saloon

1456 West George Street, Chicago, IL 60657

The BEST dive in Chicago. Free pool, cozy vibes, and great pizza. Many many hours (and even more money) have been spent at Side Street Saloon. Cash only!!!

Lincoln Park Zoo

Chicago, IL 60614

The only free thing in Chicago!! Great zoo and a perfect place to walk around and burn up a couple hours.

Shedd Aquarium

1200 South DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60605

Jordan's favorite place in Chicago! An awesome aquarium with sharks, dolphins, belugas and plenty of colorful "fishies".

Lakefront Trail

Lakefront Trail, Chicago, IL 60611

Ginny's favorite place in Chicago! The best way to see the city is to just walk along the lake. Grab a coffee from a nearby cafe and sip and stroll your way down the 16-mile trail with the best views. Many walks and runs have been enjoyed on this perfect trail; Ginny and Jordan even got engaged here.

Cloud Gate (The bean)

201 East Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60602

If you've never been to Chicago, head downtown and view the largest silver "bean" in the world. A very famous sculpture dropped right in the middle of downtown. Take a selfie!!

Skydeck Chicago

233 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606

The best (and potentially nauseating) view in the city. Head to the Sears Tower and take the elevator to the top floor (103 stories) for the SkyDeck - a glass box that extends out of the Sears tower. I would recommend getting there early because it does get crowded.

Chicago Food Staples

The best part of Chicago is the Italian Beef, Chicago Style Hot Dog, and Deep Dish pizza. You really can't go wrong with any spot in the city and would provide an authentic Chicago experience. Order your beef "dipped with hot peppers" and definitely don't ask for ketchup on your hot dog.

Places to Eat

Here are some of our favorite spots in the Lincoln Park neighborhood to grab a bite! We can't wait to hear where had a meal. Breakfast/Coffee: Dollop Coffee, Bourgeois Pig Cafe, Dash of Salt and Pepper Diner, Colectivo Coffee, Nookie's, Chicago Bagel Authority Lunch: Evette's, North Buena Deli, Ranalli's Pizza, Galway Arms Dinner: Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba, Gemini, DeNucci's, D Cuisine, John's Food and Wine
