Tampa Riverwalk
Take in the beautiful waterfront views and feel the warm sun along the Tampa Riverwalk (located close to both of the recommended hotels). This 2.6-mile walk runs along the Hillsborough River to the Garrison Channel. Start your journey at the bustling Heights Market at Armature Works, stop along at the vibrant Curtis Hixon park, and continue until you reach Sparkman Wharf. Locals and visitors alike can walk, bike, or take a scooter down the Riverwalk where they can stop at one of the many attractions, bars, or restaurants. At night, witness the colorful lights that bring the Riverwalk to life.
Ybor City Historic District
Ybor City, once the cigar capital of the world, is a vibrant area in Tampa that boasts an exciting social scene and delicious food. You can explore the historic district to learn more about the architecture and immigrant history, or indulge in Latin and soul food restaurants. As the sun sets, the area transforms into a lively entertainment district where you can do a pub crawl, dance the night away, or catch some live music. To get there, you can hop on a free streetcar from downtown.
St. Pete Pier
This location holds cherished memories for us, from one of our early dates to several picnics, including the unforgettable moment when Geoff proposed. This gleaming attraction on the St. Petersburg's picturesque waterfront promises limitless fun for everyone, from first-time visitors to long-time residents. Amalie Arena - Women's Basketball Final Four
The weekend of our wedding, Tampa is hosting the NCAA Women's Final Four. There will be games held at Amalie Arena and other fan events throughout the downtown area.
