We're getting married!

Like many couples these days, we met online. It was early 2020, just as the world was learning about the COVID pandemic. As the world became an uncertain and sometimes scary place, we took comfort in messaging and video calling each other from opposite sides of the world.

After waiting for the Philippines to lift travel restrictions, we lost patience and decided that we would meet anywhere in the world that we possibly could. That led us to Maldives which was one of the few places we could both visit without a visa. We had a great time enjoying the beaches and snorkeling!

On the last night of Jordan's visit to the Philippines, we went on a gondola ride at the Venice Grand Canal Mall. While the gondola team was taking souvenir photos, Jordan pulled an engagement ring out of his pocket and proposed! Genemae said "YES!"
