Answer

Using google maps or Apple maps, just type in "Boulder Flatts Grand Island" and it pops right up and takes you directly to the venue.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Our ceremony will be child free. There is a lounge in the upstairs of the venue with a TV, if you trust your kids to be alone for 30 minutes, where they can hang out there or if you would like this to be a night out for you and your S/O feel free to do so! All kids are more than welcome to the reception!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal dress code for our wedding. Those of you invited to the ceremony, men we ask to please wear slacks or black denim, avoid blue denim if you can, we understand not wanting to go buy a new pair of pants for one day, and please refrain from wearing plaid. Immediate family will have specific colors to wear. Everyone else invited to the reception may wear what ever is comfortable and appropriate. Attire cards will be sent with invites to help you better understand what we would like. Please do not feel like you have to go buy a new outfit for the day, the cards are just suggestions!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Those receiving an invitation to the ceremony, please arrive at 2:30 or 2:40 pm as we will have guests start finding their seats at 2:50. The ceremony will start at 3:00 tentatively, so if you will be late, we ask that you watch from inside the venue and please do not interrupt. Those receiving an invitation for the reception, please feel free to come at 3:30 for cocktails while family is doing photos after the ceremony!

Can I take pictures/video during the ceremony?

No, this is a cellphone and camera free wedding, we have paid for a great photographer who will ask for you to put your phone away if she sees it out during the ceremony.

Will I be in any photos?

Answer

Because we want our wedding to be intimate we ask that family only be in photos that are taken after the ceremony before the reception. If your invitation says "+ Guest" your guest should assume that they will not be in family photos unless otherwise told. There will be many opportunities for photos during the reception with friends and extended family.

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests as our caterer already has a specific number to provide food for. Your invitation will be made out to "Your name" + Guest if a plus one has been given to you.

Does the venue have any rules?

Answer

Yes! Listed below are the rules that the venue has in place for guests to follow! If rules are broken Boulder Flatts is at liberty to kick anyone out or have law enforcement come if needed. The only entity allowed to sell or bring alcoholic beverages on the grounds is Boulder Flatts, this includes our parking lot. We possess a special designated permit issued by the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. A copy of the permit will be displayed in the bar area during the event. No smoking or vaping in the venue or outside in the courtyard, the parking lot is acceptable. If we (Boulder Flatts) catch a guest smoking or vaping within the parameters outline above, we will ask them to leave. ZERO under age drinking. The customer hereby expressly grants to Boulder Flatts, at Boulder Flatts discretion and option, to instruct the security officer(s) to remove any person from the Venue property, if any individual under the age of 21 is caught consuming alcohol. No outside beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, are allowed to be brought in unless approved by Boulder Flatts Manager. This includes pop, juice, lemonade, water, etc. No pets allowed, unless it is approved beforehand by Boulder Flatts manager. No sparklers, smoke machines or bubbles in the building or outside in the courtyard. We ask that you do not move any of our furniture in the venue. You are allowed to move the round tables, head tables and gift tables, but other seating areas are to remain as they are.
