We locked eyes across a dark & hazy dance floor in Uptown Minneapolis on NYE of 2018. By the early morning hours of 2019, with tired feet & dizzy heads, phone numbers were exchanged & small smiles were shared as we reminisced on a fun night of dancing & laughing. After a month of travel & new year bustle, we were finally reunited for our first date in St. Louis Park, MN were we spent 4+ hours talking and laughing and reminiscing (the longest first date for both of us) & we both knew that we were onto something. Ask us about our cabin trip a few weeks later, the Barber wedding (our first wedding together), and our first big trip to Montana to hear about the first chapter of our love story!

Would Jordan Peterson be Jordan Peterson without incorporating golf into his proposal? It was New Year’s Eve of 2022 and at the top of our to-do list was to get our puppy, Azia, out for a longer walk before our NYE festivities that were scheduled for later in the day. Jordan suggested we go to a golf course where Zia could run off-leash and frolic through the snow. We suited up in our winter boots and jackets and snow pants and headed out to Brookview Golf Course in Golden Valley, MN. After a 30 minute walk around the course, Jordan popped down on one knee. We now go back to that spot frequently (both when we take the dog for a winter walk and when Jordan goes golfing!). Ask us about the unexpected surprises of the day!
