Flight
By Plane ✈️
We recommend flying into either LaGuardia Airport (LGA) or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Both are two to three hours from the Hamptons, depending on traffic. From there, you can rent a car—perfect if you want to explore the Hamptons—or take a bus or train to head out East.
Train
By Train 🚆
Take the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) eastbound from either Penn Station or Grand Central in NYC. The ride to the Hamptons is usually around 3 hours. The train stops at several Hamptons towns—including East Hampton, Amagansett, and Montauk—so you can get off wherever is most convenient to where you’re staying. By Bus 🚍
The Hampton Jitney provides coach bus service from various locations in Manhattan to towns throughout the Hamptons. Buses run throughout the day and make stops in East Hampton, Amagansett, Montauk, and other nearby towns. You can view schedules, pickup locations, and buy tickets directly at hamptonjitney.com.
