Amy Bruining

Maid of Honor

Always fashionably late and finishing each other’s sentences, Jordan and I are the best of friends. Being close since high school, we joke that our friendship stemmed from running sprints in track and field. But oddly enough, it was during the years that followed when we became inseparable. Despite attending different colleges, in different states, we both made an effort to keep in touch. From summer road trips to shopping trips, babysitting to dating, we’ve seen each other through all of life’s ups and downs over the last decade. Now, I am so happy to see her over the moon in love with Drew—and can’t wait to watch them tie the knot!!

Mackenzie Odegaard

Maid of Honor

Jordan and I met at Calvin but didn’t become best friends until I moved back to Michigan two years ago, bonding over our shared love of cheese, wine, tacos, and late nights spent dancing. From eating pizza on the floor of my new (freezing cold) apartment to deep talks while kayaking, Jordan has been there for everything. Blessed to have been Jo’s wing-woman on her first date with Drew, I have enjoyed watching their relationship blossom and I am so honored to be a part of their happily ever after.

While we may not have an exciting how-we-met story, that certainly doesn't define our crazy, wonderful friendship. Jordan and I met our freshman year of high school. Our friends from middle school started hanging out and the rest is history! From sleep overs that consisted of watching scary movies and teaching her how to dance, to being roommates and late nights out on the town, we've always had each other's backs. We've shared many good times as well as tough times together but every moment has only made our friendship stronger and I wouldn't change it for the world! I am beyond happy that she has found her forever man and cannot wait to be a part of their big day! Drew and Jord, blessings to you both and your life together!

I met Jordan back in high school & we became instant friends. After high school our friendship grew closer & closer. From going to Rag’s every Thursday night, watching many episodes of the bachelor, eating at Stellas, & always being a little reckless together! It’s true when they say every brunette needs a blonde best friend. We never have a dull moment together & always have time for lots of laughs. Jordan has always been there for me during the hard & the good times. She was one of my friends who was really there for me when I got pregnant with my son in college. She spent many hours babysitting Oakley & hanging out with us. We will always have a strong friendship. I couldn’t be happier for you & Drew! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you guys!

I met Jordan while we were working in patient registration at Spectrum Health. I knew I liked her when she told me there was a cute boy that worked in the lab and insisted that I go back there and not come back until I had a conversation with him. Jordan is always down for fun, and when we’re together its nonstop laughter and shenanigans. Somehow we always find a way to talk for hours, whether it’s been a day or a month since we’ve last seen each other. I am so grateful for this sweet consistent friend of mine. I met Drew when Jordan invited me to spend the day on the boat with them, and I knew he wouldn’t need to do anything else to gain my approval! It’s so obvious how perfect they are for each other, and I am so excited to stand up with them as they celebrate their love.

Jordan and I met through an arranged play date in the summer before 3rd grade. We’ve endured through just about everything a girl encounters in her life: drama and excitement, homework and missed classes, boys and gal pals, parties and lazy nights, vehicle mishaps and road trips. Shortly after she started dating Drew, I asked her what her mom thought of him and she told me he reminded her of Jordan’s dad, and I knew they’d get married someday! Through all of that, she feels more like a sister than a friend and I’m so happy to stand beside her as she marries her new best friend.

Kim Van Dam

Bridesmaid

Jordan and I met in 2017 when she started dating Drew. I couldn't wait to meet this girl that my brother-in-law kept talking about and when I saw them together, I knew it was for real. Even my 3 year old started calling her Auntie Jordan after meeting her and always asks when he can see Auntie Jordan. Jordan and Drew are perfect for each other, perfect for the Van Dam family and I am SO excited to have a new sister! I am so honored to be a part of this big day and excited to have anther girl to confide in at all the Van Dam gatherings.

Josh Dekker

Best Man

Hello my name is Josh Dekker and I am one of Drew’s best mans in his wedding. I have been friends with Drew for a long time now, since the third grade. We went to elementary, middle, and high school together. We have continued our friendship all this time. I was honored to have Drew as the best man in my wedding and I am looking forward to being his and celebrating with Drew and Jordan.

Michael Koll

Best Man

Hi my name is Michael Koll and I am the best man. I have known Drew since middle school; we were only one year apart from each other. We really got to know each other when we played basketball and other sports together. Drew and I became even better friends in high school. Some of our favorite pastimes were trips to Silver Lake, quading at my house on the track, and of course a lot of boating trips. I’m glad to consider Drew a great friend.

I first met Drew at 10:32 am on November 1,1990 and I have been a proud big brother ever since. Drew and I have had many good times together growing up; from vacations, boating, hunting in South Dakota and snowmobiling we have done it all. Congratulations Drew and Jordan and welcome to the family.

I have known DVD since we were young lads in high school. We snowmobile together in the U.P. almost every year and go on wild boat trips in his red rocket. DVD lived with me for two years and they were some awesome times. He would always have moscow mule nights that almost always turned into going to Marias for more drinks. There are many stories about DVD and a lot that I probably shouldn't tell but one in particular comes to mind. I was sent a picture of when DVD tried to snowmobile down the In Urban and sunk his snowmobile. All you could see was him in the middle of the water hole, standing on his seat.

I have been friends with Drew for a very long time. I can't say exactly which year but it all started back when Drew worked for my dad on the farm in grade school. Drew and I started to get more close over the last 5 years or so because of our passion for power boating. We always try to get together on the water every weekend during summer as much as we can. I always enjoy the northern Michigan boating trips we do every summer together. We also have a very intense competition on the water as to who is faster and I believe till this day he has yet to beat me 😉 I am very excited to be standing by his side on his big day!

I have known Drew for over 10 years. We became friends in high school. We started hanging out more at his trailer at college and have gone on many fun boating trips together. Our favorite activity is picking on our buddy Josh Dekker!

I would say I really began to know Drew in 2007. A lot of Byron and South guys and girls would all hangout at a mutual friends house just down the road from us. Our friendship grew as high school went on hanging out just about every weekend in high school. After that came college, Ferris State University. Drew and I were roommates for four years up until we graduated. Dorms to a "modular home" to an apartment. The memories and experiences we shared from either two tracking, activity Wednesday, tubing, bon fires and much more will be things I will never forget. Drew is an encourager and a supporter and a great friend. I wish the best for him and Jordan and I am honored to stand in his wedding.

When I moved in with Jnobs in June 2017, there was this mystery man who lived in the room next to mine. I never saw this guy because he worked 2nd shift. They called him DVD which was odd and that was about all I knew of him. It wasn't until he started working normal hours that I got to see him after work. In the mornings he left before me and he would always make just enough coffee that I could almost get a full cup. Then he started inviting me boating on the weekends. Then the roomies would take days off to go boating which started the close bond all three of us would have, although sometimes DVD was more like a babysitter for John and I. I will never forget my time killing wasps with the roomies at the Naber residence, and it wouldn't have been the same without Andy! Congrats buddy!

Drew and I met back in high school. He was a friend of my now wife and quickly became a friend of mine. We began hanging out all the time after school and on the weekends. After high school we continued to hang out through our college years and still do so today. We have taken some of the most memorable trips of my life together. From 4-wheeling in Baldwin to boating trips all over the state of Michigan we have had a lot of fun together. I feel more than blessed to have found a friend in Drew. His funky personality, happy-go-lucky attitude, and kind heart make him a great person and friend. I hope this is only the start of a lifelong friendship. I am so happy for Drew and Jordan and hope the best for them as they begin this new journey in life.
