Things To Do

Moab is a mecca for recreation, including mountain biking, climbing, hiking, horse-back riding, river rafting and more. Moab’s public lands include a vast variety of arches, natural bridges, mesas, and spires. These canyonlands are home to many types of desert wildlife and can provide great opportunities for wildlife viewing during the fall. Moab is a gateway to massive red rock formations in Arches National Park. Canyonlands National Park features mesas and buttes carved by the Green and Colorado rivers. Dinosaur tracks can be found at sites like Bull Canyon Overlook and Copper Ridge. Collections at the Museum of Moab include dinosaur bones and archaeological artifacts. Our public lands are very fragile and have taken millions of years to develop. We ask that you recreate responsibly while visiting Moab to respect, protect, and preserve the incredible landscape to ensure that future generations can have the same experience.
