We first met while working at Petvalu in Newington. Jordan was the Assitant Manager at the time when Dan was brought in as a sales associate. When Dan first started he tended to jokingly complain about everything Jordan asked him to do, however it slowly grew on her. Its been a pleasure to experience the evolution of our relationship from coworkers, to friends, to best friends, to boyfriend and girlfriend, to fiancés, and now eventually husband and wife.
I can still remember the first time we hung out outside of work, it was at her house up the street from where I was living at the time, “the cove” as it was often refered to. I got to meet all of her friends there and was invited to join a game of vollleyball. This was not a great experience, since I can’t say I’m all that coordinated so needless to say my volleyball game leaves much to be desired. But, it was the first time I got to see her smile and laugh as a friend outside of work. Soon after there weren’t many days I wouldn’t see her, and the moments she was away felt like an eternity. Time still flies when I’m with her and I can’t wait to have her as my wife. I love all of our memories to this point and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.
When Dan started working at Petvalu, we had completely redone our entire staff. He was constantly giving me a hard time but it never bothered me because he worked hard and always knew exactly what customers needed to hear. He would make me laugh and was easy to talk to. We quickly figured out that we went to CCSU together. After hanging out that first time playing volleyball, I always wanted to be around him. Whether at work or activities around school, he became not only a good coworker but a good friend. After I left PetValu to do student teaching, he was my biggest support at central. No matter how late I was up lesson planning, he would stay up and help me find resources. After we graduated and just recently moved into our first home together, I am so thankful for the memories and laughs that we have had and even through the highs and lows of life, I am so lucky to call him my best friend. He is always there for me and knows when I need a laugh. I am beyond excited to marry my best friend and continue to go through life with Dan.
