Our Story

Our story, told by Corinna… The first time I locked eyes with Jordan was in 2019 while he was visiting friends at Eastern Michigan University. There were never any words exchanged between us, and for years to come, he would remain “just Josh’s friend.” We met again in January 2022 when he was home for Christmas, and this time, we finally had the chance to talk. What started as a quiet and shy encounter between us quickly turned into hours of conversation. A few days later, Jordan returned to his station in California, but before he left, Jordan made sure we exchanged numbers. We spent the next year talking on the phone for hours every day and every night. On January 23rd, 2023, Jordan asked me to be his girlfriend. Jordan deployed overseas just a few weeks later. For the first five months of our relationship, Jordan and I were 9,000 miles apart, juggling a 12-hour time difference. Jordan’s service ended in February of 2024, and he moved back to his hometown of Jackson, Michigan. We were finally able to be together, living in the same place, experiencing everyday life side by side for the first time. On July 28th, 2025, Jordan took me to a lakeside park, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. It was a complete surprise, and the easiest “yes.”
