Jordan and I have a story that, in many ways, feels like a modern-day fairytale—full of surprises, laughter, and unexpected twists. We met on social media like so many couples do these days. After chatting for a few weeks, I decided to invite her out to a local bar to see a drag show. To my delight, she agreed, and when we met up, she showed up in what I affectionately call her "Kim Possible" costume. I couldn’t have asked for a better wingman that night—my best friend convinced her to be my designated driver, ensuring I made it home safely after the night’s festivities. We ended up talking for hours, completely lost in conversation, and by the end of the night, I knew there was something special between us. But the surprises didn’t stop there. The next day, Jordan invited me out to see a local musician play. And just as I thought things couldn’t get any more interesting, her mom shows up. Yes, her mom—on our second date! She had mentioned having two moms, but I honestly never expected one to show up so soon. Jordan was mortified, and I thought it was absolutely hilarious. So, although we avoided the stereotypical lesbian U-Haul on the second date, we accidentally skipped right to meeting the parents. It was the kind of moment that could’ve been a sitcom plot, but in reality, it was the start of something much deeper. The past three years have been a whirlwind. Together, Jordan and I have fostered our careers, built a business, sold two houses, moved into our dream home, and even fostered a baby. Along the way, we’ve learned so much about each other and about what it truly means to grow as a couple. Every day has been an adventure, full of laughter, challenges, and love. We’ve faced it all, side by side. And now, as we look ahead, we can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us. We’re excited to continue this incredible journey, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by sharing it with all of you on May 31st.
