Although we would have loved for this to be in-person on June 1, 2020 in beautiful Key West, we wanted to still be able to share a very special day with all of those that are so special to us. Please join us as we try to maintain some level of normalcy for our virtual ceremony. You are invited to a Zoom meeting. When: Jun 1, 2020 06:30 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Register in advance for this meeting: https://causetheworld.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJIlfuuvqjgpHd2RM7CjRMoK1Y__Msmt-5FR After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
We met by chance on a night in Morgantown.
We went on our first date on 6.1.17 in Morgantown, WV. Jordan ate before, even though it was supposed to be dinner and drinks. Jordan told Bret how great the sushi was so he ordered sushi. Bret had to stuff sushi in his mouth on our first date. He has never let Jordan live it down.
We did long distance for almost an entire year never going longer than one month without seeing each other.
In May 2018, Jordan moved to Kansas City, MO. We drove a Uhaul 17 hours across the bumpy I-70 and survived.
Our wedding date in 2020 was the anniversary of our first date three years later.
After almost 18 months of thoughtful planning, we have to cancel our wedding in the beautiful Key West where our first true vacation was together. We are heartbroken that we cannot spend time in celebration with family and friends who have supported us all along our journey. We hope in the future we can still gather together with loved ones to celebrate this incredible day and journey.
One week before the pandemic of COVID-19 hit, we went under contract on the house of our dreams. It was a long and emotional road, but in the end fate prevailed and we signed for our new home on April 16, 2020!
After much thought, we still wanted June 1, 2020 to be a day of celebration with family and friends. We have planned a virtual ceremony to be held on June 1, 2020 at 6:30pm CST, which we will hold from our new home. Everyone is asked to stay after the ceremony to celebrate with a virtual happy hour.
