Believe it or not, online dating works! Jordan and Breanna met on a dating app called "Hinge," a far classier and sophisticated alternative to the swipe right factories you can find on the internet these days. The app published their full names, so they knew immediately how excellent and admirable they both were, and they started chatting. They both had online dating fatigue at that time, and without knowing it, each of them walked into their connection intending it to be the last one before ditching online dating altogether. Things progressed, and a date was finally set: Bleeker Street (RIP) in the famously romantic Tarzana. What Breanna did not yet know is that Jordan is notoriously colorblind. So, when he told her that she would know him by the *green* shirt he was wearing, she had no way of knowing that the shirt he was wearing would actually be *grey.* To this day, Jordan still thinks that shirt looks green. The question you'll ponder later is, "Why does he still have that shirt?" Jordan was dumbfounded with how beautiful Breanna was that night. He instantly knew her from her vibrant personality, and they laughed through the confusion of the shirt fiasco as well as how Jordan insisted on placing various crab cake appetizers on Breanna's plate. There was music. It was magical. Their hearts sang. They still do. After dinner, in typical fashion, Jordan and Breanna went out for drinks. A quick tour of the San Fernando Valley. After it was over, Jordan walked Breanna back to her car and kissed her. He turned to walk away but was overcome with the longing of years not yet come, and kissed her again. He danced back to his car as she whisked away. It was the best date either of them ever had. Neither of them believe in love at first sight, but Jordan and Breanna do believe in hope; desperate hope to find in that person you just met the oft-quoted "counterpoint." They both hoped upon hope that night. Their wedding is hope made reality.
