Something like fate brought us together in a dive bar hundreds of miles away from where we both lived in 2022. We met by chance in Oak Island, NC, at Second Wind, the only bar in town open late. It seemed crazy at the time, but we knew we wanted to spend forever together. The 500 miles separating us from our hometowns in West Virginia and North Carolina didn't matter, because we knew we were meant to be from the moment we met. Over the next year, we spent weekends and any free time we had making memories by meeting in the middle in Wytheville, VA, visiting Oak Island, and hanging out with family and friends in our hometowns in Raleigh, NC, and Elkview, WV.
