FAQs

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We are so grateful for the life we’ve built together over the past ten years and for our three amazing children. The greatest gift to us is having you celebrate this special day with us. Your presence truly means the world. For those who have asked about gifts, we are most excited about our honeymoon, our first trip together as a married couple, a chance to spend time alone and soak it all in. While anything is appreciated, cash gifts are especially helpful for making this dream a reality. We’ve also created a small Amazon registry for those who enjoy giving physical gifts. On it, we’ve marked our most wanted items, including a few things that will help us as we start this new chapter together, like a Cricut machine for wedding and home crafts. We would also love experiences, whether it’s tickets to a show, a special class, or something adventurous you think we’d enjoy. These create memories we’ll cherish forever. If you have any questions or want guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Above all, we can’t wait to celebrate with you and share this joyful day together.

Question

Guest attire ?

Answer

We invite guests to dress in refined summer formal attire that complements our late-summer setting. Our wedding is in late August in Illinois, and while the venue doesn’t have air conditioning, it has windows and a large fan to keep things comfortable. Women: Midi or floor-length dresses in elevated fabrics such as silk, chiffon, satin, or lightweight crepe, or elegant jumpsuits. Heels, block heels, or dressy flats are all appropriate. Men: Suits or tailored dress attire in lightweight fabrics; ties are optional. Classic colors such as navy, charcoal, taupe, or soft plaids are welcome. Dress shoes or loafers are recommended. Color & Style Notes: Muted, timeless tones, soft neutrals, deeper hues, and understated patterns inspired by late summer transitioning into early fall are ideal. Please avoid: Casual attire, including jeans, denim, shorts, t-shirts, or casual sundresses Athletic wear, sneakers, flip-flops, or overly casual footwear Bright neons, bold prints, or graphic designs All-white, ivory, or cream outfits reserved for the bride Excessively revealing or distressed attire Thank you for helping us create a timeless and elegant atmosphere for our special day. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As parents ourselves, we know how special children are. For our wedding day, however, we’ve decided to celebrate with adults only, except for immediate family. This allows us to relax, celebrate freely, and enjoy the evening without worrying about little eyes and ears. We truly appreciate your understanding and completely understand if this affects your ability to attend.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our guest list has been thoughtfully planned to include the people who have supported and shaped us throughout our lives. For this reason, plus ones are by invitation only. We truly appreciate your respect for this decision.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Doors will open for seating at 3:30 PM, and we recommend arriving shortly after doors open to ensure you’re comfortably seated on time.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Once you arrive, you’re all set for the evening! Our ceremony and reception are at the same venue and will transition from the ceremony to cocktail hour, dinner, and then straight into the reception.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking will be available on-site. Ropes and signage will be in place to guide you to the designated parking areas. Handicap-accessible parking is also available.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Should rain be in the forecast, we’ll simply move the ceremony indoors to the barn and continue the celebration there.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
