We met on the very first day of the ROTC Instructor Course at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama—proof that sometimes the military does get matchmaking right. Ashleigh walked into the classroom, immediately spotted Jordan sitting there looking far too handsome to be allowed in a government-issued chair, and decided this was clearly fate (or at least excellent seating strategy). She sat down next to him, informed him—without hesitation—that he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, and then spent the next two weeks executing what can only be described as a flawless, well-planned campaign to win him over. Against all odds (and Jordan’s initial attempt to remain professional), it worked. After flying home together to D.C., Jordan officially asked Ashleigh to hang out. From that moment on, the mission was complete, the objective achieved, and the rest is history.
