What is "Bluegrass Garden Party"?
Answer
We'd love to see a Bluegrassy-Appalachian take on the traditional Garden Party dress code, like a Blue Ridge Mountains Family Picnic! Our venue is right on the Rappahannock River with a beautiful outdoor space and a small cabin. Everything will be outside, so wear something you'll be cool and comfortable in (although we don't know the specifics of the weather yet.) Think along the lines of: Bolo Ties (or no tie), Denim, Pearl Snaps, Lace, Silks, Vests, Sundresses, Boots, Gingham, Ruffles, Suspenders, Picnic Attire, Upscale Outdoor Wear, etc. Feel free to search "Bluegrass Garden Party Wedding" on Pinterest for inspiration -- but wear what makes you comfortable and let's you groove!

Parking
Answer
The Clores allow parking to start 1-hour before the ceremony. You will be directed to a spot upon arrival. They also allow overnight parking with the agreement that the cars will be picked up BEFORE 11:00 AM the following day. The bride and groom will be leaving on The Trolley. There will be a second Trolley trip leaving the venue at 8:40 PM to take guests back to the hotels near the Homewood Suites (see Travel & Lodging tab). This is a great option if you wish to Uber/Lyft/etc to the venue for the wedding, or if you choose to leave your car overnight.

Registry gifts should be sent to 410 Botetourt St #3 Norfolk, VA 23510. Cards and monetary gifts can be mailed to the same address or brought to the venue the day of.

Food & Drinks

We will have refreshments and snacks available before the ceremony - feel free to explore the property and make sure you stop by the sign in table! Appetizers will be available during Happy "Hour" after the ceremony. Dinner will start at 4:30 PM and is being catered from Crustworthy Pizza, a wood-fired sourdough pizza company based out of Charlottesville, VA. Enjoy their all-you-can-eat pizza and salad! The Queen (cheese and basil), The Ridgeroni (pepperoni), The Pork and Pine (VA ham and pineapple), and The Southern Bell (basil pesto, bell peppers, finishing salt). All pizzas can be made dairy and/or gluten-sensitive. PLEASE, let us know beforehand if you have those or other dietary restrictions! While Crustworthy takes precautions with the prep of their gluten-sensitive crust, they are prepped in the same area as non-gluten-free crust. Fully gluten-free cannot be ensured. The basil-pesto sauce on our Southern Bell pizza pie does contain parmesan cheese. We have several other pizza options (The Queen - cheese and basil, The Ridgeroni - pepperoni, and The Pork and Pine - VA ham and pineapple) that contain only mozzarella cheese. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

This venue is not child/pet-friendly- there is a river on one side and a narrow, winding road on the other. We hope you're able to make arrangements for your little ones - thank you for understanding!

Answer
The Clores love this river, as do we. But swimming is frowned upon at the venue. There are plenty of swimming spots in and around Fredericksburg that you can visit during your stay. We most likely will!
