WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at Hardin-Simmons University in September of 2020. We actually grew up in the same town, going to the same school (elementary, intermediate, junior high, AND high school), but we only ever knew OF each other, we had never met or talked to each other before college. Jordan became the "sweetheart" of Aric's social club, and that's how they started to know each other just a little bit more. It all started when Jordan harassed Aric and some of his Lambda brothers to join her own club's corn-hole tournament (spoiler alert, he didn't come). A little bit later, Jordan receives a snapchat from her future husband that just simply stated, "Howdy". Her response was, "Oh hi", and then Aric comes back with the classic, "Oh, sorry, wrong person. But what's up?". We all know now that it was in fact NOT sent to the wrong person, he just wasn't as smooth back then as he is now. They started talking most days and Jordan would turn down Aric's daily invites to play ultimate frisbee with the boys (obviously). After a while, we began talking more and hanging out in groups, and it was obvious that we were both interested in each other. We went on some Tea2Go and Sharky's dates and it was evident that we were both falling for each other (some would say that one of us fell faster than the other). Aric eventually became the president of his social club and it was a rule that no one in the club was allowed to date the sweetheart, definitely not the PRESIDENT. Thankfully, everyone seemed to look the other way. We eventually met each other's families and fell in love with each other and spent every minute together that we could. Time went by and we began to fall in love with each other's families, and everything just seemed to fall into place. That seems to be the narrative of our relationship, things have always fallen into place and worked out for us, even in the times where we had to fight hard for each other. Over 3 years later, we are so excited to finally get to call each other husband and wife, and we are so thankful for everyone that has been on this journey with us and has supported our relationship. We are so in love and the best of friends, and we cannot wait to celebrate with y'all on APRIL 20, 2024!
