Jordan and I met while planning for a promotion release party on base. He was the treasurer and I was the project manager for the event. I wasn’t sure if I liked him at first 😅 but after the event he sent me a text asking me if I was single and if I wouldn’t mind going on a date and I’m so glad I said yes! We were suppose to go line dancing but ended up talking all night and drinking whiskey.

We were visiting in Denver Colorado because we were doing the dog swap after I had Wallace for the summer. We had just dropped off Wallace back at the hotel so we could head to lunch and he mentioned in the car a conversation he had when we checked in on how you don’t need a witness to get married in Colorado and what did I think about that. I said that it was interesting and his response was would you want to do it while we are here? I was in shock and responded with well we would have to do it today because of the holiday and he finally asked me “will you marry me?” And I of course said yes! We ate lunch and headed straight to the court house where a lovely lady named Madeline married us on the spot!
