This is the third airport option when flying in to the Outer Banks. It appears to have cheaper airfare tickets from MSP but will add an hour to the drive time from the airport to Buxton, NC. (approx. 4 hours 15 minutes / 256 mile drive)

Each of the rental car companies at RDU offers courtesy shuttles to their offices, which are located on airport property. Catch the shuttle bus for your rental car company at the green Rental Car shuttle stops outside bag claim at Zone 4 in Terminal 1 and Zone 5 in Terminal 2.

For our guests, we have blocked off 10 rooms at the Breakwater Inn in Hatteras, NC, checking in 05/20/2022 and checking out 05/22/2022. The rooms come with 2 queen beds, microwave, coffee pot, small fridge and a private balcony overlooking the sound! As of right now, the prices for the rooms are $110.61. We recommend that you book as soon as possible as these prices are subject to change for 2022. Booking is super simple! When you are ready to book, just call the Inn and mention you are booking a room from the block for the Daniels/Ferguson wedding in May 2022. Rooms must be booked at least 6 weeks prior to the wedding day (04/08/2022) before they are released to the public. The Inn is located approximately 15 mins away from Our Lady of the Seas Catholic Church, west along NC 12.

Some rental agencies in the area book cheaper nightly rates for those looking to stay a full week, and are often cheaper than booking 3-4 nights at an Airbnb.
