Here we go again

COVID 19

As you know, we planned our dream wedding in Hawaii and set the date for June 6, 2020. Along with many others, our plans changed and Hawaii was sadly cancelled. We are relocating our dream wedding to just 20 minutes down the street from where we live, and we couldn't be more excited. Everything happens for a reason and we are grateful for this adventure, although things didn't go as planned.

The Proposal

03/18/2019

Sailing has recently become a hobby that we love sharing together. So I guess it only made sense that Jordy proposed on a sail boat. As Jordy explains it, everything kind of fell into place. When he purchased the ring he had a few ideas in mind but knew he wanted to pop the question as soon as possible because it was so hard for him to keep the secret. Jordan's long term family friend Jodi, (who is a photographer) asked us if we would be willing to do a couples photoshoot for her "portfolio." I was very excited to finally have professional photo's with Jordy since he always refuses when we have opportunities. I was working out all the details with Jodi and Jordy acted like he had no idea, but to my surprise, he had planned each detail of the entire day with all of our family and best friends without me even knowing. During the "photoshoot" Jordy snuck away on the boat and said he needed to use the restroom, and when he came back he was down on one knee. Jordy then proceeded to give me the cutest/ most nervous speech I've ever heard and asked me to be his wife forever. It was the most perfect day, each part was special and beautiful. And to top it all off he had told many of our family and friends to wait for us at a nearby restaurant called 333, where we got to celebrate with everyone!

When I met you in the Summer

06/19/2013

Jordy and I met as two crazy young kids in our early 20's. Both just always having the best possible time with no cares in the world. Neither of us were looking for a relationship or even really wanted one at the time. We just instantly clicked the moment we met and knew we had something different/ special that we had never experienced before. But we technically met through mutual friends via social media, (which isn't the cutest story but its very millennial of us I guess) Jordan was in California while I was in Arizona (attempting out of state college for one year). We ended up having several mutual friends who all thought we would really hit it off. So when I came home for Summer break, we both knew we wanted to meet but only had three months to do so. Since we had only spoken through our friends and social media, we both thought it was a little silly, but there was something about each other that we both wanted to make it happen. After numerous failed attempts to hang out, Jordy finally invited me over for a pool day with a couple of friends. We ended up hanging out until the sun went down and pretty much did the same thing every single day for the rest of that Summer in 2013, til now, we have been inseparable ever since.
