Our Happily Ever After

We met while working at the Applebee's in Brownsburg, Jordan as a bartender and Alex as a server. Neither one either thought they would "have a chance" with one another but their friendship continued to grow over the years with their mutual loves of the various "nerdy genres" and sharing their love for a wide variety of musical selections. One day, Alex messaged Jordan asking for cosplay ideas for the upcoming Comic-Con Convention that she was going dressed up to, all the while she had an extreme fondness for Jordan since the day they met. Needless to say, that since that conversation, Alex and Jordan never parted and had found their forever Comic-Con Convention soulmates, continuing their annual tradition of going to the convention every single year. Once we were finally together, we never did part <3

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, Jordan and I set out for our 2nd day at the 2024 Indianapolis Comic-Con Convention. We got dressed in our merch we purchased from the convention the day before, excited to go knowing that today a few of our friends were also going to the convention with us! (Little did I know the real reason why.) As it reaches almost 2pm, we are walking around the convention while Jordan is on the phone and says, "we need to meet at the front doors to guide a friend back to us". Me being absolutely oblivious and overstimulated by the beauty of the convention, followed along. We met around door 5, where I started to see some of my family and other friends too and got super excited to see everyone (and again, SUPER oblivious to all that was happening around me). As Jordan finally finds the "last person", he comes over to me, grabs my left hand, and when I felt his hands shaking , in that moment looking around, I finally understood what was happening...surrounded by my loved ones and friends, such beautiful words were said followed by him getting onto his knee and saying, "You're my best friend. I love you 3000, will you marry me?" OF COURSE I SAID YES!!! Little did I know that he had been planning ALL of this since October of 2023 (and earlier), telling EVERYONE in the process! I am proud (and shocked) of so many people knowing, not saying a thing, all the while helping him along the way to ensure that it was a PERFECT day, WHICH IT WAS! I love you 3000, Jordan! And thank you to ALL who helped him along the way to give us the perfect day :)

We will be getting married on Sunday, May 4th, otherwise known as “Star Wars Day”. We cannot wait to celebrate our nerdy union and marriage on one of our favorite days of the year! MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU
