Both natives to Illinois, we moved to Nashville, TN with in a few months of each other to do some soul searching and enjoy some country music. We met at South Inc., which was Jordan and I's first job here in Country Music City. We started hanging out with the same group of people and quickly became close friends. Jordan asked me out on a date one evening... and it was history from there!
Jordan picked me up around 7 o'clock for our first date ( I wasn't ready until about 7:30, and I distinctly remember him singing the song 'Waiting on a Woman' by Brad Paisley as he was waiting on me). He took me down to Second Avenue in Nashville to what is now one of our favorite restaurants, The Stillery! We may have eaten a lot of macaroni and Nashville hot chicken that night...
Jordan and I were visiting my parents in Illinois for the weekend in May. It was a jam packed weekend full of graduations, parties, and bridal showers. Driving from Tennessee to Illinois, Jordan had started to complain about his stomach hurting. Since he never gets sick, I quickly brushed it off. The next morning, He started to complain again about his stomach. So we laid around my mom and dad's house relaxing. He was eating normal, so I didn't think much of it again. A few hours later, we were getting ready to go to my cousin's graduation when Jordan "got sick" and decided it was best for him to stay home. I knew he must be sick if he was opting out of dinner that night - his favorite, sushi. Fast forward, after dinner we drove home to check on Jordan. As we were pulling up to the house my sister and mom look at each other and say "Are you ready?". I was a little confused at first. Then, my mom hands me a letter and told me to read it. Jordan's first letter told me to go with my dad and he would take me to where Jordan was. P.S. he's not really sick! Jordan had made a romantic setting with flower petals, lanterns, and candles everywhere. He read me a beautiful letter of love and commitment, then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
